The initial thought by a lot of individuals about physical fitness and exercise is: “That doesn’t sound fun at all.” Well it is and here is some reasoning behind it.
Some of the leading causes of death in the United States are directly related to poor health reasons that can be avoided by staying physically healthy. A sedentary lifestyle can lead to diabetes, heart diseases and obesity. If that doesn’t scare you into partaking in physical activities, maybe this will.
There is a wide array of activities that fall under the physical fitness category. Hiking, biking, kayaking, weight lifting, running, swimming and a plethora of other sports. There are activities that cater to multiple different personalities as well as different interests.
Physical fitness has been proven to boost endorphin levels in the brain. It, scientifically, has the ability to improve your mood.
Stressed? Go for a run. Sad? Get a group of friends together and go hike in the beautiful outdoors. Angry? Go slam some weights around in a gym. Stressed? Take a break from reality by creating a reality designed to take that stress away.
Football, soccer, frisbee, golf, capture the flag, hide and seek or even going for a walk around the block. Just a few minutes a day and you will feel better, look better and be healthier. It is not in us to stay immobile all day; It is in us to stay fit and to love it.
